PCOS Challenge: The National Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Association is offering exclusive internship and practicum opportunities for the best and brightest public health master’s students. These opportunities are offered as part of a special Leadership and Management trainee program designed for those seeking to make a significant impact in women's health through strategic engagement with state Public Health departments and federal government agencies, such as the NIH, CDC, and FDA. Students with concentrations in Public Health, Health Policy, Epidemiology, or related fields are strongly encouraged to apply.
Overview
Interns will play a crucial role in researching and executing opportunities for government agency engagement at the state and federal levels. Work may include supporting the development and promotion of national and state public awareness campaigns and improving the collection and reporting of PCOS patient health data. Engagement with state Public Health departments and federal agencies such as the NIH, CDC, and FDA will be a significant aspect of this internship role, aiming to foster collaborations that advance the PCOS Challenge National Health Policy Agenda, legislative advocacy strategy, and PCOS Advocacy Day agenda.
Desired Skills and Experience
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Proven experience in conducting literature reviews, data analysis and online research
Knowledge of public health policies
Previous work experience with a government agency is a plus

What is the next stage in the recruitment process?
If you pass this stage, you will have a live interview. If you pass the live interview, you will be formally accepted to our Leadership and Management Trainee Program for your practicum or internship.
How long does the recruitment process take?
Once we receive your application, we will evaluate your responses within a week. If you pass the initial screening process, we will schedule your live interview for the following week. If you are selected, you should receive a formal acceptance letter within three weeks of your video submission. The entire recruitment process typically takes 2-3 weeks.
If I am offered a position, when do I need to start?
We have internship and practicum opportunities available in Spring, Summer, and Fall. If you are offered a position, we will arrange a start date based on your availability and circumstances.
