PCOS Challenge: The National Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Association invites ambitious Master’s and PhD students to apply for our meaningful research internship and practicum opportunities. We are seeking skilled individuals who are ready to leverage their proficiency in biostatistics and data analysis to contribute to vital research on polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Overview
This role is a cornerstone of our Research and Leadership Development Program, offering a unique chance to work directly with the PCOS Challenge Executive Leadership Team and Scientific Research Advisory Board Members. Interns will be integral to projects that shape the future of PCOS research and advocacy, providing essential insights into the condition’s impacts.
Required Skills and Experience
Proficiency in and access to statistical software such as R, Python, SAS, SPSS, or STATA.
Experience with a range of data analysis and statistical techniques, including thematic analysis, logistic regression, cross-tabulation, frequency analysis, Likert scale analysis, and correlation analysis.
Strong ability in data presentation and the clear communication of findings.
Skilled in conducting comprehensive literature reviews and data interpretation.
Enrolled in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Data Science, or a related field at the Master’s or PhD level.
Develop campaign toolkits, brochures, website, and social media content.
Projects You Will Contribute To
Analyzing data from the PCOS Patient-Focused Drug Development Study.
Investigating the economic implications of PCOS through our Economic Burden Study.
Employing statistical models to uncover insights into PCOS symptoms, treatments, and patient outcomes.

What is the next stage in the recruitment process?
If you pass this stage, you will have a live interview. If you pass the live interview, you will be formally accepted to our Leadership and Management Trainee Program for your practicum or internship.
How long does the recruitment process take?
Once we receive your application, we will evaluate your responses within a week. If you pass the initial screening process, we will schedule your live interview for the following week. If you are selected, you should receive a formal acceptance letter within three weeks of your video submission. The entire recruitment process typically takes 2-3 weeks.
If I am offered a position, when do I need to start?
We have internship and practicum opportunities available in Spring, Summer, and Fall. If you are offered a position, we will arrange a start date based on your availability and circumstances.
